Chilliwack is the furthest east we shoot regularly, and that is the one thing worth being straight about. We shoot here often and are glad to, but a Chilliwack booking wants notice rather than a same-week call, because the day has to be built around it rather than squeezed.

What makes it worth the trip is the combination of backdrop and value. The mountains behind the city are a genuine feature of an exterior set here in a way they are not further west, where they are further off and more often hazed. And the price band is such that a full media package still makes sense on an ordinary family home, which is not true everywhere in the valley.

The first is the address early, so we can check the drive and the light together rather than discovering on the morning that the property faces the wrong way for the hour we booked. The second is an honest description of the parcel, because a listing described as a house on a large lot and a listing described as five acres want different equipment in the vehicle.
