Silver Valley is where the studio is named from and where we shoot most often. It is newer stock on rising ground below Golden Ears, which produces two things worth planning for: homes that are frequently empty at listing because they are recently built or recently vacated, and lots where the ground falls away enough that a frontage shot from the street misunderstands the house entirely.

What that means for the shoot
Empty homes need a floor plan. Buyers cannot judge a room without furniture for scale, and a plan closes that gap faster than any number of photographs. On the sloped lots we shoot an elevated frontage frame as standard, because the street level view of a home built into a grade tends to flatten it.
The other Silver Valley factor is the backdrop. On a clear day the treeline and the mountains behind the neighbourhood are part of what the buyer is paying for, and they belong in the exterior set rather than being cropped out.
Shooting on a grade
The slope is the practical fact that shapes almost every Silver Valley shoot. On the streets that climb toward Golden Ears the ground can fall a full storey across the width of a lot, and a camera at street level then looks up at a house that was designed to be seen across a level approach. The result is a frontage that reads as squat and top-heavy, which is nobody's fault and is still what the buyer sees first.
An elevated frame corrects it. From eight or ten metres the house resolves into its actual proportions, the roofline stops crowding the sky, and the relationship between the garage, the entry and the storeys above reads the way the architect drew it. On the steepest lots we will shoot both and let the agent choose.
Empty homes, and the plan
A large share of what we shoot here is vacant. New construction is empty by definition, and the resale stock turns over quickly enough that a good deal of it is empty too. Empty rooms photograph beautifully and communicate almost nothing about size, because there is no object in frame a buyer can measure against.
A 2D floor plan is the cheapest fix for that in the whole package, and on a vacant Silver Valley listing it is the single addition we recommend most often. It also does a second job on the newer builds, which are frequently three storeys on a modest footprint: the plan is what makes that arrangement legible before somebody walks it.
